

At that point, it almost feels like cut content that Kent, who even arrives later in the game after you have almost certainly "proved" your ability to perform tasks yourself, can't be hired on as a farmhand.

Kent constantly complains about having nothing to do around the place, and I believe his family mentions that they wish he could get some help and that his demeanor was different. Imagine, despite having Junimos available near the endgame, there are still things you have to do manually such as petting animals, gathering their resources, collecting crab pots, picking crops in the rain, etc. This point was brought up in a Joseph Anderson review from a few years ago, but it definitely makes sense to me. What I don't get is why Kent feels like a bit of a wasted character.
